Since its establishment in 1983, Space Station has been a leading provider of dependable and secure storage solutions for both businesses and individuals.
In an effort to reduce manual work arounds and reconciliations, Space Station wanted to integrate its disjointed finance, HR, operations, and real estate systems. To improve its overall efficiency in key areas, Space Station also looked to implement a data warehouse.
The solution
After conducting a thorough assessment of Space Station's systems, we pinpointed current issues and devised strategies to seamlessly integrate the systems for enhanced efficiencies and problem resolution.
Utilising our structured methodologies, the Target Analysis Model (TAM) and Target Operating Model (TOM), our team was able to gain a comprehensive understanding of the different functions and the system requirements.
We employed the APQC process classification framework to define the scope of processes for Space Station, enabling us to identify any existing gaps. We then explored the advanced capabilities of the current system APIs to grasp the potential for data extraction and input.
The result
Our proposed solution involved constructing an integration hub connected to a data warehouse, utilising Postgres Database, Python Scripting, and Power BI for reporting purposes. With approval in place, we then proceeded with the integration, design, and construction phases.
