Government departments and large organisations have the unique opportunity to drive positive change and improve the lives of citizens by delivering social value through their policies and initiatives. We help our clients deliver on their promises by planning and organising meaningful projects and programmes that deliver results.
We classify our social value initiatives into these distinct categories:
Rachael Murray, our dedicated social value coordinator, is committed to planning and delivering social value projects on behalf of our firm and our clients. We use the TOMs (themes, outcomes, measures) framework, developed by Social Value Portal, to quantify and validate the impact of our social value contributions.
This provides our clients with concrete and measurable outcomes which they can share with their communities. We follow a structured process for building our social value methodology and initiatives:
We identify the needs and challenges of the client by assessing which themes are most relevant, and in urgent need of addressing. This is normally done through in-depth research and communications with the client and partnering organisations.
We then analyse our findings and establish how this can be fed into an outline list of the client’s social value requirements, using either the TOMs framework or the client’s own framework, for predicting a measurement for each commitment.
We build the relationships across the client’s environment to help us form a thorough method statement, outlining the initial plan for delivery. We also pull together the team members who will commit to each of the social value initiatives.
Depending on the length of the project we are doing for the client, we prepare reports to showcase the work we have done and the return on investment (ROI) of the activities. We also forecast the coming year to show what activities we have planned and what the expected ROI will be.
Focused on delivering real impact, we recently introduced Matchable, a CSR platform, to match employees to not-for-profit and impact start-up projects based on their skillset, interests, and passions. Our team are encouraged to take two paid volunteering days each year, as way of giving back to our communities. We have access to a reporting dashboard that enables us to track and monitor the engagement and impact of our social value project using data.
